We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child Development Specialist to join our team. This role involves working closely with children birth through age four and their families providing high quality early childhood classroom environments, parent skill building support and modeling, hosting family literacy events, as well as monitoring child development and education through observations and assessments.

Responsibilities:

Provide direct support to children ages birth through four in classroom setting.
Supervise and support classroom staff providing lesson plans, training, and implementation of Creative Curriculum.
Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors and social skills.
Collect and document data on individual progress, behaviors, and interventions for ongoing assessment.
Collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals to develop individualized care plans as needed.
Facilitate parent workshops on child development topics as well as parent skill building practices
Engage in childcare activities that support developmental milestones through play and structured learning experiences.
Qualifications

Experience working with young children in a classroom setting
Knowledge of behavior management techniques and experience in direct support roles is essential.
Familiarity with Creative Curriculum, TeachSmart, and ASQ implementation is a plus.
Strong communication skills are required for effective interaction with children, families, and team members.
A valid driver’s license is necessary for transportation purposes related to job duties.
