Ways to Become a First Wave FAmily

First wave logo circle transparent color_edited_edited.png

All expectant parents and families of children ages 4 and younger are welcome to attend our programs and events! Some programs and events are ONLY for families who have completed the enrollment process and attend our center regularly.

What's the difference?

Registration Process

  • RSVP for free on our website for a program or event

  • First time to the center:

    • Upon arrival, you will complete a health history form with information needed for your child(ren) to enter the child development classrooms

    • You will wash your child’s hands and sign them into their classroom

    • Adults/caregivers will then go to the program room and complete a registration form which must be given to the Service Coordinator before starting the program

  • Once registered, a family can sign up and attend any program that has open spots! Families should attend 2 to 3 different programs before meeting with the Service Coordinator and the Child Development Specialist about enrollment.

  • If transportation is needed:

    • Transportation is only provided to attend parent/caregiver programs, not for events such as playgroups and Read & Play where the parent/caregiver participates side by side with the child

    • First time: Your pick up time & address will be confirmed and FWF staff will transport you to the center, based on availability of staff and advance notice

    • Registered families can be transported to programs a maximum of 3 times before enrolling

If a family is interested in attending programs and events at First Wave Families on a consistent basis (3-4 times per month), they should enroll in the center:

Enrollment Process

  • One-on-one intake meeting with our service coordination team (which includes the Family Service Coordinator, Family Advocate, and Child Development Specialist)  to complete required paperwork for enrollment

  • Family Partnership Agreement will be completed & signed, which will outline goals for the family and how we can help meet them

  • Commit to monthly check-ins with service coordination team to review goals
