About the event
Free 9-week program for the whole family! (Intended for parents or guardians with children between the ages of 7 to 17). Parents and/or guardians will learn to improve behaviors in children by using positive attention and rewards, clear communication, effective discipline, age appropriate substance abuse education, problem solving and limit setting. Children will learn effective communication, understanding of feelings, social and problem solving skills, how to resist peer pressure, age appropriate consequences of substance use, and following household rules.
Childcare is provided for children through age 7.
Week 1: Introductions Survey Completion; Week 2: Mindfulness & Looking for the Goodness; Week 3: Communication; Week 4: Positive Routines; Week 5: Discipline Part I; Week 6: Discipline Part II; Week 7: Financial Literacy; Week 8: Problem Solving; Week 9: Managing Stress & Anger. Free dinner is provided at every session plus giveaways.
